These are not easy days for anyone, because as easy as it might sound to stay at home, it’s not always like this. Anyway, let’s make the most of this time spent at home!
For me, apart from doing my training at home (it takes most of the time!), one of the things I’m trying to do is to improve the recipes I did before in my everyday life! It’s not that there were bad before, but I’m trying to do them again, think in every ingredient, in every step, and make a better version of each of them (color, texture, taste…), if there is really something to improve.
So here a really nice nut “cheese” to use in your pasta, pizza or as a snack! I use it instead of animal cheese in my dishes or snacks 🙂
Here is the cashew cheese recipe:
-150g cashew (soaked overnight or at least for 4 hours)
-15g nutritional or brewer’s yeast
-Juice of half lemon
-Teespoon of olive oil
1-Soak the cashews during the night or if you forget, soak for at least 4 hours
2-Clean the cashews properly with water.
3-Put the cashews in a bowl
4-Add the yeast, the water, the lemon juice and the oil to the bowl
5-Mix everything with a blender till you find a creamy dough.
*If you refrigerate for a little while before consuming it’s even tastier 😉
